Abstract: In order to solve the problem of white pollution in plastic cup products, a biodegradable plastic cup product based on PLA/PBS blend was developed. By studying the effects of different formulation components on the mechanical properties and product properties of modified materials, the material formulation system with the best molding and usage performance was produced, providing reference for the production of biodegradable thermoformed plastic cups.

conclusion
Through research on material modification and production process application of biodegradable plastic cups, the material performance indicators of polylactic acid plastic cups can be effectively improved. When the PBS content is between 10% and 30%, the elongation at break and notch impact strength best meet the forming process requirements of plastic cups, while also meeting the requirements of total migration for food safety. It has good biodegradability and meets the requirements of a longer shelf life, providing reference for the production process of biodegradable plastic cup thermoforming.
