According to Meilian New Materials (300586), on May 6th, the Guangdong Meilian New Energy and Polymer Materials Industrialization Construction Project officially started construction in Puguang Chemical Industrial Park, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province.
In November 2022, Meilian New Materials announced that it plans to invest 10 billion yuan through its wholly-owned subsidiary Meilian New Materials (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. to construct the "Annual Production of 2.3 Million Tons of New Energy and Polymer Materials Industrialization Construction Project". On the same day, Meilian New Materials and the People's Government of Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province signed the "Investment Promotion Agreement for the Industrialization Construction Project of New Energy and Polymer Materials with an Annual Output of 2.3 million tons" in Sichuan Province regarding the aforementioned matters.

Huang Weishan, Chairman of Meilian New Materials, stated that this project will rely on the company's industrial and technological advantages in the new energy and new materials sectors, utilize the abundant sulfur and natural gas resources in Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, extend the sulfur chemical industry chain in the park, and build a comprehensive utilization and circular economy industrial chain of sulfur sulfuric acid titanium dioxide masterbatch new energy materials resources. It will vigorously promote Xuanhan's transformation from a "resource advantage county" to an "industrial advantage county", and strive to build Xuanhan County, Dazhou City into the world's largest integrated production base of masterbatch and an important new energy material production base.
